New Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen with Slip and Seal
Coles Pen Company are delighted to announce that the Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen is now available from stock.
The Century fountain pen is a continuation of Platinum’s now long established and celebrated 3776 Fountain pen range (so called 3776 after the height in meters of Mt Fuji), but with a modern twist. The pen comes with a “slip and seal” mechanism which, for the first time, enables the pen’s screw cap to be airtight. This has two major advantages. It prevents the ink from drying out if the pen is not used over a long period of time. In a conventional pen, if not used for up to three months, the ink can dry out completely, however with the new Century pen, this is extended for up to two years. Secondly, the mechanism protects against ink leakage caused by changes in atmospheric conditions, such as when taken on an aeroplane.
The pen comes with a 14k gold nib and has an RRP of £133. The pen will be on show at the Spring Fair NEC Birmingham (Hall 4, Stand A23) and The Stationery Show (24-25 April, Stand no S8)
